Every now and then we hear from previous clients and/or their parents. Sometimes they stop by to let us know what's going on in their lives, and sometimes they send us cards and letters. We thought we'd share just a few of the comments we've received...

Carla,

My daughter was one of your tutors at Brainworks this year and I wanted to tell you "Hats Off!" This is a tremendous thing you've done. It serves a great purpose. The scuttlebutt at the high school was that anybody who's cool works at Brainworks. You have somehow tapped into this resource and used it wisely. It's just wonderful. My daughter had a terrific time tutoring at Brainworks. Thank you so much for giving her that opportunity.

I've seen you speak before and you're just absolutely right on target. Well done, and just keep on keeping on.

Lynn

Dear Carla,

I just thought I would update you on my son now that he is graduating from high school.

As you predicted, each year has gotten better. He learned to control his emotions and make friends. He has now learned to manage his schoolwork so that we no longer get phone calls from teachers.

In high school he found his groups and has ignored the rest of the typical high school experience (sports, spirit, prom). He was the first freshman at his high school to ever win a spot on the Academic Decathlon team. This has been his "family" for four years. Last year he was elected one of the captains of the team. After suffering years of other students teasing him, this was just a miracle.

Thanks for all your help with our son when he was younger.

Chris

Dear Carla,

You may not remember me, but I will never forget you and the wonderful people at Brainworks.

I was a student at Brainworks 14 years ago, a third grader who found herself suddenly struggling with school and every day tasks. Carla, with the care of your teachers, the personal concern that you had for me, and a lot of quality time with my friend Dr. Johnson, my fears and frustrations were soon behind me. I am still a patient of Dr. Johnson's, and I consider you and he both such blessings in my life. Carla, thank you for helping to give a little girl not only her self-esteem and confidence back, but also her health.

I will be graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry this month and am very proud of all I have accomplished. I share my success with the caring, supportive people who have touched my life. Carla, thank you so much for being one of these people.

I am always pleased to receive the Brainworks newsletter. It's wonderful to know that you continue to change lives, just as you did mine.

Sincerely,

Julie
